
The FSB press service has announced the arrest of four Russian citizens in Yekaterinburg, Russia. They were reportedly planning to carry out a terrorist attack using an explosive device at crowded public locations.
The Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation has detained four Russian citizens, born in 2007 and 2008, who allegedly adhered to the ideology of a terrorist organization banned in Russia. According to the FSB’s statement, the suspects were planning to execute a terrorist attack using an improvised explosive device in crowded public areas in Yekaterinburg.
The FSB press service revealed that two of the detainees had set fire to an official vehicle of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region.
During the operation, authorities confiscated components for improvised explosive devices and communication equipment containing instructions for their assembly.
