One day after the highly anticipated wipe in Escape from Tarkov, Battlestate Games has rolled out a significant technical update aimed at addressing multiple issues that emerged following Patch 0.16. The update, installed without halting game services, has resolved several critical bugs affecting gameplay and player progression.
Key Fixes Included in the Update:
- Trader Standing Issue: Resolved a bug that caused trader reputation to roll back after completing a Scav raid.
- PVE Zone Progression: Fixed an issue where raid progress in the PVE Zone was not being recorded.
- Jaeger Unlocking Bug: Players can now unlock Jaeger properly after meeting all requirements.
- Mechanic’s “Getting Acquainted” Task: Addressed an issue in the PVE Zone where the task would fail automatically if accepted prior to the release of Patch 0.16.
- Game Timer Reset: Fixed the game timer resetting to zero during Scav raids.
- VoIP Functionality: Restored in-raid VoIP for seamless communication.
- Animation and Sound Fixes: Resolved missing healing animations and in-raid environmental sounds in specific scenarios.
- Hideout Interaction Errors: Fixed bugs preventing interaction with the Gym and Christmas Tree in the Hideout.
- PVE Zone PMC Clothing: Missing unlocked PMC clothing in the PVE Zone has been restored.
- Shooting Range Customization: Fixed the resetting of Shooting Range settings after a raid.
- Mannequin Pose Selection: Re-enabled locked mannequin poses after Prestige levels.
- Item Icon Visuals: Certain item icons have been reverted to their previous design.
During the update’s installation, some players experienced shorter raid times (reduced to 10 minutes) and longer matchmaking times on servers undergoing the update. Players were required to download the update via the game’s launcher to ensure full functionality.
This swift patch highlights Battlestate Games’ commitment to addressing community concerns and delivering a polished experience, even during the post-wipe period.
