Iranian state media reported that a suicide attack killed the director of the police intelligence service in Bandar Lengeh, a city in southern Iran, today.
The unidentified bomber also died in the attack, and another police officer suffered injuries outside the police headquarters in the port city.
The attack occurred just days before the anniversary of twin suicide bombings on January 3 that killed nearly 100 people.
