The inaugural season of the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) is set to kick off in 2025. As a premier regional esports competition in the Asia-Pacific, the LCP will serve as the exclusive gateway for regional teams to qualify for global tournaments, showcasing the region’s top talent on the world stage.

Here’s everything you need to know about the debut season of LCP 2025:
The eight teams competing in the inaugural League of Legends Championship Pacific 2025 are:

The Split will consist of the Regular Season and Playoffs, with the Regular Season further divided into two phases.
Phase 1: Group Stage
Teams will be seeded for the Season Finals based on their performance during the Mid-Season, though match records will be reset. Teams will be split into two groups: the Contender Group (top 4) and the Breakout Group (bottom 4). Each group will play a Single Round-Robin Best-of-3 (BO3) to establish initial standings for the next phase of the Regular Season.
Phase 2: Group Seeding Bracket
In this phase, group reshuffling will occur. The 4th-placed team from the Contender Group will face the 1st-placed team from the Breakout Group, while the 3rd-placed Contender team will compete against the 2nd-placed Breakout team in single BO3 matches. The winners will join the Contender Group, while the losing teams will move to the Breakout Group.
Subsequently, teams within each group will compete in a Double-Elimination format. All teams from the Contender Group will advance to the Season Finals Playoffs, while only the teams with two wins from the Breakout Group will qualify.
In the Playoffs, the remaining six teams will face off in a series of BO3 and BO5 matches, also following a Double-Elimination format. The last team standing will claim the title of the first-ever LCP champion.
League of Legends Championship Pacific 2025: Match Schedule and Results
The League of Legends Championship Pacific Season Kickoff marks the first split of 2025 and will decide which teams advance to First Stand, the year’s inaugural global event. The tournament will run from January 17 to February 23, 2025. Here are the matchups for Week 1:
