In an extensive interview, Inter striker Marcus Thuram expressed his confidence that the club he plays for is one of the best in Europe and that their performances simply intimidate opponents.
According to Thuram, Inter is among the top five clubs in Europe, and he has never seriously considered using the release clause in his contract to leave Milan, as he feels genuinely happy there.
“I have complete trust in Inter. This is thanks to the people around me—my teammates, the coach, and the club,” said Thuram. He also spoke about his legendary father, Lilian Thuram.

“He is the foundation of everything that has happened to me. With him, I save time; one word from him is like two or three weeks of work with someone else. Being Lilian’s son was, at times, a burden, but my father prepared me. ‘They will judge you by your surname they’ll say you’re only here because you’re my son.’ It wasn’t pleasant as a child to hear hurtful things from the parents of kids I played with. My response would be, ‘Look, if I score a goal, it’s not because the opposing goalkeeper stepped aside to let Lilian’s son score,’” Thuram said before emphasizing his point.
“I’ll say it clearly: I will never leave Inter by activating my clause. This is because of the relationships I have with everyone here. That figure is in the contract, but I will never be the one to make that decision unilaterally. If anything arises, there will always be a discussion with the club,” the forward added.
