
A tourist bus carrying Russian citizens crashed in Pattaya, Thailand, injuring 27 people. However, no Russian fatalities were reported, according to Russian Embassy spokesman Ilya Ilyin, as told to TASS.
“The Consular Department of the Embassy is aware of the incident. The bus was transporting Russian tourists on a trip organized by the tour operator Annex Tour. Preliminary reports indicate that 27 Russians were injured,” the statement read.
According to the diplomat, there is no confirmed information about fatalities yet. Following the accident, videos capturing the moment began circulating online. The footage shows the bus driver losing control at the toll road entrance and crashing into the concrete barrier of the toll plaza.
The local newspaper Matichon reported that the bus was carrying 37 passengers. All the injured were immediately transported to a hospital in Pattaya.
